NCASA is pleased to announce Regional results and state finals qualifiers for The Quill!
On November 7, students across North Carolina sat down to computers at their home schools to respond to on-demand writing prompts in regional competitions for the state writing competition, The Quill. Prompts covered the core curriculum types of Argumentation, Problem/Solution, Narrative Writing (middle school), Creative Writing (high school), Informational (middle school), and Literary Analysis (high school).
Students competed to move on to the December 7 State Final hosted by Seaforth High School in Pittsboro.
Regionals divided the state into East, Central, and West divisions. The following schools and individuals advanced to the State Final:
East Regional High Schools:
1 - Chapel Hill HS
2 - East Chapel Hill HS
3 - South Lenoir HS
4 - Lenoir County Early College
Central Regional High Schools:
1 - Early College at Guilford
2 - Seaforth HS
3 - Northwest Guilford HS

West Regional High Schools:
1 - Ardrey Kell HS
2 - Thomas Jefferson Classical
3 - Discovery HS
East Regional Middle Schools:

Central Regional Middle Schools:
