The NCASA Board of Directors is proud to announce the formation of the North Carolina Association for Scholastic Activities Hall of Fame! The NCASA Hall of Fame will honor former students or supporters who made extraordinary contributions to scholastic activities. Read below for additional information and to nominate someone to be considered for the inaugural class.
Eligible for the NCASA Hall of Fame are former student competitors who had extraordinary achievements in scholastic activities through outstanding performance and / or leadership. Also eligible are supporters who have made extraordinary contributions to scholastic activities through their leadership at a local, state or national level.
Unless there are unusual circumstances, former student competitors would not be eligible until the four-year anniversary of their graduation date. Students who graduated after 2010 would have to have participated as a representative of an NCASA member school. Supporters (coaches, scholastic directors, administrators, volunteers, or others) would not be eligible for induction until they are no longer actively involved in scholastic activities.
The selection committee will be chosen by the NCASA president. Nominees must be named on 60% or more of all ballots to be elected to the Hall of Fame. No more than 10 nominees will be inducted per year.
Please note the following key dates for the 2024-2025 school year:
- January 15 - Nominations close
- Early February - Selection Committee meets to review nominees
- March 1 - Inductees are notified
- May 17 - Inductees are honored at the HES - ESS North Carolina Showcase
Nominators are encouraged to work with nominees on compiling specific information on their awards and accomplishments. This is especially true for nominees who made contributions to scholastic activities prior to 2010, since there may not be records or public information remaining from that time period.
