2019 The Quill State Finals

Saturday, December 7 marked the 2019 State Finals of The Quill, the state writing competition for middle and high school students in North Carolina. The event was hosted by Hope School and saw students responding to prompts in Argumentation, Problem/Solution, Narrative (middle school), Creative Writing (high school), Informative/Explanatory (middle school), and Literary Analysis (high school).
In addition to the 90-minute on-demand writing session, students heard local editor Bobby Burns speak about his experiences as a writer.

Results from 2019 Twelve Regionals
TWELVE - More than 400 students from schools across North Carolina competed in the ninth annual Twelve Regional Competitions on Saturday, November 23. Students were tested on their knowledge of the core curriculum plus wildcard topics such as State Symbols and Visual Arts.
